TM Sisters | 251 N. 19th Avenue (Radius Garage)

TM Sisters

In an effort to promote the arts in the Downtown area, a large scale mural of a sunset will be painted on the Radius Garage starting February 8th, 2015. The artists are Tasha and Monica Lopez de Victoria, known as the TM Sisters. The TM Sisters are a sibling duo who make collaborative art and are based in Miami, Florida. Their repertoire spans digital video performance, collage drawings and paintings, social experiments, zines, fashion pieces, murals and large scale installations. Described by the Miami New Times as "techno tropical," the sisters' aesthetic is influenced by the landscape of South Florida — cultural presence, energy, weather and its colors. Voted Miami's Best Artist by the Miami New Times in 2012, the TM Sisters have shown in exhibitions both local and international, including the Serpentine Gallery in London, the Second Moscow Biennale of Contemporary art and Performa '07 in New York. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Vogue Italia, STEP Inside Design, L'official, and on the cover of ARTNEws for its 2007 "25 Trendsetters" article.
